The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Warriors Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of personalities, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, fiends, and sinister influences expanding in power within the urban setting.

Note: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the primary party to embark on their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (played by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might look unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment show why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

First, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose death started the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.

Casimir then cleared his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to execute the fighter and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the team enter places they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor swore a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The cleric defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the clan.

This leaves them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.

Future Episodes

From the latest episode’s Cooldown, we discover that the combat party will not appear the following episode, leaving the remaining eight cast members to assemble the Explorers and Schemers groups.

Audiences can anticipate finding out which characters will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
